Associated Home Health Nurses of America, Inc. (AHHNA) delivers quality, timely, cost-effective services to patients in the home. The company Consists of two divisions:
- Neighborhood Senior Care (click here for details) The number one choice for assisting you to get well or remain well and independent at home, providing personal care, homemaking and companion services.
- Temporary Staffing Services (click here for details) providing Temporary Staffing and Temp-to-Perm Placement services to the Home Health Industry.
Founded in 1992 by Marie J. Temmink, RN, PHN, the company provides services in the Southern California Area with emphasis on the Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties and is expanding into other areas where its services are required.
AHHNA’s primary goal is to nurture relationships based upon the utmost integrity and to deliver superior services to its clients.
AHHNA and its division employ over 250 dedicated caregivers and support staff experienced in a wide spectrum of services in the home care and home help industry.
Proprietary state of the art computer information & search systems react immediately to continuously changing client, market, employee and government requirements.
This guarantees the confidential delivery of services within established cost, quality and time parameters. and allows health care providers and caregivers to focus on what’s important: client care!
History:
AHHNA was founded in 1992. The concept was based on the Dutch "Wijkverpleging" or "Neighborhood" nursing.

AHHNA opens office in downtown Long Beach, CA, and starts operations providing temporary staffing to Home Health Agencies. Its first clients were the VNA (Visiting Nurses Association) of Long Beach, St Mary's Hospital of Long Beach, Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Pacific Hospital, UCLA, St Joseph Hospital, Orange County, etc. |

Receives "Business in Growth" Certification by the California State University, Long Beach. |

| 1994 |
Receives a second "Business in Growth" Certification by CSULB.
The company expands into larger quarters in the same downtown building.

| 1995 |
AHHNA expands its services to provide homemaker, companion, personal care assistance, and companion services to communities in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
SCAN Healthplan's Independent Living Power awards a contract to AHHNA to provide home care services to its clients.
The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce bestowed AHHNA with the Industry Award honoring the Health Care Industry.

AHHNA becomes a Continuing Education Provider by the Board of Registered Nursing, Sacramento, CA. |

| 1997 |
AHHNA's Neighborhood Home Health Services division receives its license from the State of California, Department of Health Services, to provide the following services in addition to SKILLED NURSING: Occupational Therapy, Home Health Aide Services, Speech Therapy, Medical Social Services and Physical Therapy. |

| 2001 |
AHHNA purchases the VNA building from St. Mary's Hospital to accommodate its vastly expanded home care operations, and locate its Neighborhood Senior Care division. |

| 2003 |
AHHNA's operations are highlighted in a Corporate Presence article by the Long Beach Business Journal. (May). |

| 2004 |
The company continues to operate Neighborhood Senior Care with a steadily growing customer base of private clients and insurance companies, and is expanding its services to other areas in Southern California. |
| 2006 |
The company decided to discontinue Neighborhood Home Health Services of America (NHHSA) and instead direct its efforts to satisfy the growing demand for its fast growing Neighborhood Senior Care services. |
